ATLANTA – In a must-win conference game, Simon Fraser senior goalie Jeremy Lashar put on an epic performance between the pipes, earning MCLA Division I Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending April 9.

With No. 17 Boise State in town – a Broncos team coming off a monster road victory at No. 13 Utah – looking to cement its ticket to the PNCLL tournament, Lashar put on a goaltending clinic.

The Burnaby, B.C., product made 16 saves and did not allow a single goal to the Broncos, which came in averaging 11.1 goals per game, in an 11-0 blanking.

“This was obviously a great team effort defensively and Jeremy is the type of leader that always credits the guys in front of him, but this was not a game where Boise State didn’t have their chances and Jeremy literally stood on his head to keep the Broncos off the scoreboard at critical points of the game,” said Simon Fraser coach Brent Hoskins.

“He hasn’t missed a practice or team event in four years, so I guess we have kind of come to expect him to always show up in games when we need him the most,” continued Hoskins. “This ability has continued to give us a level of confidence on the back end, especially with such a relatively young defensive group this season. This was definitely one of the best goaltending performances that I have seen, but not far off from the level of play that Jeremy has consistently been giving us all season and since he stepped into net as our starter.”

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Lashar will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
