SAN FRANCISCO - After consecutive conference championships and a pair of trips to the MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, Sierra Nevada has been picked to win the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League's Division II again in 2017, according to the preseason coaches poll.

The Eagles (14-2) have not lost to a WCLL-II opponent since it joined the MCLA in 2014. SNC has qualified for nationals the last two seasons before losing to North Dakota State in the first round each time.

UC Davis (10-4) was projected to finish second in the league. The Aggies only regular season conference loss came to Sierra Nevada before they bowed to the Eagles again in the WCLL title contest.

San Jose State (8-6) and UC Santa Cruz (7-9) are expected to round out the WCLL-II top four.
