Sierra Nevada Wins Fourth Straight Title

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Sierra Nevada downed UC Davis, 6-4, on Sunday afternoon to win its fourth consecutive Western Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL) Division II championship at Rancho Cotate High School.

With the win, the Eagles (9-4) earn an automatic qualifying berth to the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will be held in Salt Lake City from May 7-12.

After battling to a 2-2 tie after the first quarter, the Sierra Nevada defense went to work, holding UC Davis (10-5) scoreless over the second and third quarters.

During that time, SNC potted four goals to bring a 6-2 bulge into the final quarter. The Aggies cut the lead to 6-4 before the Eagles added an insurance goal.
