Simon Fraser was the narrow leader in the PNCLL Division I Preseason Coaches Poll. The Red Leafs finished as conference runners up last year losing to Boise State in the tournament final.
The Red Leafs were awarded three first place votes and garnered 33 total points just ahead of Boise State who also received three first place votes, but had 31 total points. Oregon was in third place with 26 points. Washington and Oregon State tied in fourth place with 15 points each. Washington State garnered 6 points.
