Simon Fraser Takes PNCLL-I Crown

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. – Simon Fraser raced to a big early lead and held off a late furious late-game charge from Oregon to capture the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Division I tournament, 14-12, on Sunday afternoon.
With the victory, Simon Fraser (11-0) earns an automatic qualifying berth to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will take place from May 8-13 at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex. Tickets and live streaming for nationals can be purchased HERE.
The Red Leafs took an 11-2 lead to start the game and still looked in control in the third, but Oregon (8-5) never game up, cutting the final margin to two.
Simon Fraser wins its 10th PNCLL crown and will be visiting nationals for the first time since 2014.
