SAN DIEGO – The Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) heads to Santa Barbara (Calif.) City College from April 25-27 with the winner in each division earning at an automatic qualifying bid to the 2025 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will by from May 5-10 at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex.
Action kicks off on Friday with a pair of Division I semifinal contests. Top seed Arizona State will battle local rival Grand Canyon at 4 p.m. The two teams met just last week with the Sun Devils capturing a 15-10 victory. Arizona and San Diego State cap off the evening at 6:45 p.m. with a rematch of March 2 contest that went to the Aztecs, 17-10.
The D-I championship game will at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The Division II semifinals will commence at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning with top seed Cal State San Marcos facing Northern Arizona. The two teams met on April 5 with the Cougars claiming the 23-8 win. On the other side, second-seeded UC San Diego battles Arizona Christian. The Tritons won the first meeting, 16-6.
The Division II title tilt takes place on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.

“You won’t find a more majestic venue than Santa Barbara City College for a lacrosse tournament and we are very excited to get things started,” said SLC director Matt Holman. “Everyone who attends will be treated to some wonderful lacrosse. Come on out enjoy the atmosphere.”
Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children and college students with an ID. Tickets may be purchased in advanced HERE. All of the games will be streamed live on MCLAtv.us.
The SLC Division III championship game between Santa Barbara City College and Moorpark will be on Saturday at 3 p.m.
In addition to the tournament, the SLC is proud to welcome members of Harlem Lacrosse-Los Angeles as our distinguished guests playing in two halftime exhibitions during both of Sunday's championship games.
"Harlem Lacrosse-Los Angeles is transforming the lives of students in Compton through sports-based youth development,” said Mason Thomas, HL-LA director. “Serving 176 middle and high school students across three school sites, we provide year-round academic support, mentorship, leadership training, and lacrosse instruction—at no cost to families.”
