ATLANTA- As the saying goes, "Big time players make big time plays in big time games." Mark Tang certainly qualifies as a big time player and the RMLC Tournament games are big time games. It was only natural then that Mark Tang made some big time plays. Tang led the Falcons as he has done throughout his illustrious career. In the semifinal against Utah State Tang went for three goals and three assists as the Falcons methodically pulled away from the Aggies to win 17-8. The next day in a highly anticipated game against Montana State Tang was ready for the moment. The senior from Moraga, CA dropped six goals and one assist on the Bobcats as Air Force won the RMLC Championship 15-12. With Tang leading the way Air Force is headed back to the MCLA National Championships Presented by New Balance. In recognition of his performance Tang has been named MCLA Division II Warrior Player of the Week and will receive a Warrior Burn XP2-O head – a $120 value. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
Air Force head coach Robert Koehler said, "Mark is one of the best club lacrosse players in the country. He is so creative and he can score and dish out assists. He makes everyone around him better because they know they can get a pass from him at any time. He has really taken the leadership roll for the offense this year. As good as Mark is on the field, he is even better in the classroom. He is just an amazing person."
