The Texas State men's lacrosse program is in search of a head coach starting in the fall of 2016.

Texas State is a Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Assocation (MCLA) Division I program affiliated with the Lone Star Alliance (LSA), and is supervised by the Texas State University Sports Club office.

The lacrosse team is funded by player dues, donations, fundraisers and apparel sales, and is run by elected officers. The Bobcats are coming off their winningest season in the last decade with a 12-3 record, and have qualified for the LSA championship game five years running, winning the conference title in 2015. In the past years, the Texas State program has produced five MCLA All-Americans, 11 first team all-LSA selections, nine second team all-LSA selections and three third team all-LSA picks, along with the 2014 Offensive Player of the Year and 2014 LSA MVP.

Responsibilities of the Texas State head coach include, but are not limited to, the organization, supervision and coaching of the men's lacrosse program both on and off the field, conferring with officers on finances, recruiting, practices and game schedule.

Qualifications include:

Coaching experience and knowledge of lacrosse is required. Prior coaching experience is required, with collegiate level coaching and/or playing experience preferred. Knowledge of the workings of the MCLA is a plus, as is familiarity with San Marcos and Texas State. The team plays a tough and demanding schedule with a fair amount of travel.

This is a paid position and details of the salary are negotiable. Health insurance and off-season travel team coaching position is a possibility.
