DALLAS -- The UT-Dallas men's lacrosse program will return to the MCLA for the 2020 season following a hiatus in 2019, competing in the Central subdivision of the the Lone Star Alliance Division II.

The Comets will be led by first year head coach Mark Austin, assistants Danny Howard and Jeff Leach, along with captains Justin Case, John Scalley and Seth Raley.

The team has stayed busy since taking the spring off. Several members of the team played for the Richardson Comets of the Dallas Box Lacrosse League over the summer. This fall, UT-Dallas participated in the Cowboy Cup tournament in Plano, going 2-1 against Baylor, UT-San Antonio and Louisiana, respectively.

The Comets will play a ten-game schedule, including a trip to Alabama over President’s Day weekend to take on the SELC’s North Florida and Florida Atlantic.

Also highlighting the schedule is a matchup with RMLC member MSU-Denver in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A crosstown showdown with Dallas Baptist University is circled on the conference slate while the Comets will host four games at home, including Division I Texas State.
