DENVER – Fresh off its second trip to the MCLA Division II National Championships sponsored by New Balance in the last five years, Utah State has been tabbed the team to beat in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC) Preseason Coaches Poll.
The Aggies (8-4), who rolled to the RMLC championship last spring, garnered five of the eight first-place votes to take the top spot.
Montana State (7-6), which lost to Utah State in the conference title tilt, snagged the other three first-place votes to sit comfortably in the second chair.
After qualifying for the four-team conference tournament, Colorado Denver (6-4) was stationed third. The Lynx were followed by MSU Denver (4-10), which also qualified for the conference playoffs.
