SEATTLE – In a conference that should be extremely exciting this spring, Washington has been tabbed a narrow favorite to win the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL), according to the preseason coaches poll.
Washington, which was 3-2 at the end of the 2020 campaign and 2-0 in conference, grabbed three of the five first-place votes to barely edge out Oregon for top honors.
The Ducks, who were 5-2 and were ranked No. 20 in the New Balance MCLA Coaches poll, grabbed the remaining pair of first-place votes.
Tied for third in the seven-team poll are Boise State and Simon Fraser.
The PNCLL will have an automatic qualifying bid to the 2021 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will take place in Round Rock, Texas, from May 10-15.
