ATLANTA – The first edition of the weekly MCLA Polls presented by New Balance will be released on Wednesday, March 5.

The pollsters – three from each conference, 27 total in each division – will be responsible for entering their individual polls by Tuesday.

There have been several modifications to the poll this year. The first is the eschewing of a preseason edition. The second is a later start to the opening weekly poll, which will hopefully allow the polls to populate organically instead of working off a preseason ranking.

In addition, teams must have at least three countable MCLA games played in order to be eligible for the poll. Finally, the poll has moved from a Top 25 to a Top 20 each week.

“We feel that this new process will reflect what is happening in real time as opposed to suppositions from last year’s results,” said MCLA director of competition Gary Podesta. “The new website will hopefully streamline the process for our voters, as well.”

There will be eight regular season weekly polls prior to the start of the 2025 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will occur in Round Rock, Texas, from May 5-10.

One final poll will be released at the conclusion of the championships.
