Coach Ginnegar returns to the Cougars as an assistant coach after serving as head coach for fourteen seasons. During his 34 years as a collegiate lacrosse coach, Coach G. has been to an array of colleges ranging from Division I powerhouses to small club teams in Southern California. He has coached at Division I schools: Ohio State, Cornell, Gannon, and Mercyhurst. Along with these top D-I schools, Coach Ginnegar also served stints at Division II Springfield College, as well as jobs at D-III schools: Mount Union, Lake Forest, Babson, and Mary Washington. Lastly, Coach has found new homes on the west coast while coaching at University of California at Santa Barbara, USC, and Loyola Marymount. His lifetime lacrosse coaching record is 273-187. Ginnegar serves as of head coach of the Uganda National Lacrosse Team and as head coach of the Barak Netanya LC in the Israel Premier Lacrosse League, guiding the Bolts to their first-ever IPLL Championships in 2015. He has spent the last six years as an assistant coach with the Israel Lacrosse Association and assisted the Israeli team at the 2016 European Lacrosse Championships in Budapest, where the squad won a silver medal. Aside from coaching, Coach Ginnegar was a three-sport varsity athlete at Queens College in New York, where he participated in lacrosse, ice hockey, and soccer. In 2015, Coach G. was inducted into the Queens College Athletics Hall of Fame. Coach G’s day job is the Director of Marketing for Athletic Programs with Bob McCloskey Insurance Agencies, Inc. Also, he has two adult daughters Chloe and Molly.
