UNC-Charlotte Rolls to ALC-II Title

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Thanks to strong faceoff work and deadly shooting, UNC-Charlotte cruised past Coastal Carolina, 16-8, in the Atlantic Lacrosse Conference (ALC) Division II championship game at Lynchburg (Va.) City Stadium.
The 49ers (11-1) will now await their postseason fate as they are a member of the at-large pool for the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will be held in Round Rock, Texas, from May 9-14.
The UNC-Charlotte faceoff duo of Liam Patterson and Mark Altman were dominant, at one point winning 11-consecutive draws against Coastal (5-5).
Nick Ferens, the nation’s leading goal-scorer, did not disappoint, potting five goals in the victory. Connor Hudson added a hat trick.
