SELC Players of the Week

Each week, coaches in the SELC submit their nominations to the SELC awards committee for an Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week. Below are the SELC Players of the Week for games played April 3-9:
Division I
Offensive Player of the Week
Ethan Gerber, Florida - Sophomore, Attack
Florida locked up a number one seed for the SELC tournament, going undefeated in the South division by beating their rivals Florida State on Saturday evening. Gerber led the offense with four huge goals, which now puts him at the top of the list for the Gators in goals and points.
Defensive Player of the Week
Peter Zagrobelny, Georgia Tech - Freshman, Goalie
Zagrobelny stepped up big for the Yellow Jackets in their wins against Brigham Young and Utah Valley. Collecting over a 73.0 save percentage, the freshman grabbed three groundballs along with 33 saves and only 12 goals against for the weekend.
Division II
Offensive Player of the Week
Max Perez, Florida Gulf Coast - Sophomore, Midfield
Florida Gulf Coast completed its first-ever undefeated season, and locked up a No. 1 seed in the SELC tournament by beating Florida Atlantic on Saturday. Perez was key in the victory, picking up five groundballs, three goals and an assist.
Defensive Player of the Week
Nick Meola, Florida Atlantic - Junior, Goalie
Meola saved more shots against Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday than any other game for Florida Atlantic this season. Giving up 12 goals while saving 25, Meola posted nearly a 68.0 save percentage.
