Saturday Scores: FSU Edges UConn

It was a wild Friday in the MCLA with upsets galore, including the top-ranked team in the league. Saturday has the potential for just as much intrigue.

Per the schedule/scores page, there are 28 Division I games today.

No. 1 ranked Georgia Tech bounced back from its loss to Colorado yesterday by edging No. 10 Colorado State in overtime, 12-11.

No. 16 Virginia Tech put a cap on its successful Battle for Baltimore by downing No. 14 Michigan State with ease, 12-4. The Hokies defense posted a shutout in the second half. No. 20 South Carolina continued the woes for No. 18 Boston College, downing the Eagles, 11-8.

In Lynchburg, Va.,No. 7 FSU needed extra time to avoid a two-game losing streak, beating No. 17 UConn, 8-7.

No. 11 Utah was stunned by No. 21 Boise State in Salt Lake City, 11-10. That's a second key ranked win for the Broncos.

The Buffs are still in the after glow of beating Georgia Tech, and they followed it up with a wipeout of RMLC rival Utah Valley, 21-6.

Texas State ended Oklahoma's undefeated run with a 13-10 victory over the Sooners.

There are 28 Division II games listed on the schedule/scores docket.

No. 2 Concordia cruised past No. 18 San Diego in an SLC showdown and walked away with a comfortable, 15-3 victory.

For the second straight day, the Judgement Weekend II schedule is chalk full.
