Bassett Named Arizona Head Coach

TUCSON, Ariz. -- After completing a six-week national coaching search, the University of Arizona lacrosse program is pleased to announce Eric Bassett as its new head coach.
Bassett is an alumnus of Arizona and played from 1986-1990. As a player, Bassett was twice the team's leading scorer and MVP of Arizona's 1990 WCLL championship team among his many other accolades.
Bassett's coaching resume includes serving as the offensive coordinator for UofA for the 2025 season. Prior to coaching at Arizona, he was the head coach at Trabuco Hills (Calif.) High School, where his teams won five conference championships during his nine-year tenure. He was named named the Orange County Coach of the Year in 2023.
