MINNEAPOLIS- The Minnesota Golden Gophers lead the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC) Division I preseason poll. Minnesota, who won the league in 2025, got five first-place votes and finished two points ahead of second place Michigan State. The Spartans collected three first-place votes. The Miami Red Hawks after completing an undefeated regular season in 2025 were slotted third. The Indiana Hoosiers were three points behind Miami followed by their rival Purdue Boilermakers. Iowa State and Western Michigan separated by two points finished sixth and seventh respectively. Illinois closes out the poll in the eighth spot. The results of the poll are below.
