ATLANTA – After guiding the Flames to a pair of wins and surpassing a monumental career milestone, Liberty grad student attackman Keaton Mohs is the MCLA Division I Warrior Player of the Week for the period ending April 6.
On Friday night/Saturday morning, second-ranked Liberty clashed with No. 14 Tennessee in the annual Midnight Madness game and thanks to the Lakeville, Minn., product, the Flames walked away with the 18-10 victory. Mohs notched a hat trick and dished out a pair of dimes in the win.
ALC divisional rival Kentucky visited Lynchburg on Sunday, and again Mohs shined, burying another hatty while setting up five other markers in a comfortable victory.
With the six goals and seven assists, Mohs pushed past the 300-point plateau for his career – just the sixth player in MCLA history to accomplish the feat.
“Keaton had yet another outstanding performance this past weekend in our annual midnight game against Tennessee and followed it up with another great showing on Sunday against Kentucky,” said Liberty coach Kyle McQuillan.
“Keaton has had an amazing season thus far and to surpass 300 points for his career is a testament to his dedication and consistency. He has been a catalyst for this team's success for years and we are grateful for the impact he has made for our program.”
For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Mohs will receive a Warrior Burn XP2-O head – a $120 value. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
