JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- After winning the conference championship the past two seasons, Missouri Valley has once again been picked to be the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference's Division II representative according to the preseason coaches poll. The Vikings finished the 2015 regular season with an 11-1 mark and were the third seed at the MCLA national tournament.
Missouri Valley is expected to be challenged most closely by Missouri Baptist, which was slotted in the second position behind the Vikings. MVC beat the Spartans, 11-6, during the regular season last spring.
Lindenwood-Belleville and Washington (Mo.) University are also expected to be in the hunt.
