ATLANTA- Oregon junior defenseman Noah Ruth has been named MCLA Division I Warrior Player of the Week.  The Philadelphia native lead the Ducks with five caused turnovers, six ground balls, and an assist in their win over previously undefeated Texas Christian.  The Horned Frogs came in with a top-10 ranking while the Ducks were looking to bounce back from an 0-2 weekend in Utah the week  before.  Ruth was pivotal for the Ducks holding the Horned Frogs to nine goals.

Oregon coach Jared Steele said, “Anytime you face a top-10 team, you know it’s going to take a complete team effort and some guys stepping up with big performances. We had a lot of players contribute tonight, but Noah was on another level. He imposed his will in one-on-one situations, sparked our transition game, and really set the tone for us. It was an outstanding all-around performance, and the energy he brought was something the whole team was able to feed off of.”

Ruth will receive a Warrior Burn XP2-O head – a $120 value for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
