SAN MARCOS, California- The Cal State-San Marcos Cougars, winners of four straight Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) Division II championships were the pick again in the preseason coaches poll. The Cougars were the unanimous pick taking all six first place votes and 36 overall points. The University of California- San Diego Tritons were picked second with 29 points followed by Arizona Christian University. Loyola Marymount and Northern Arizona finished tied for fourth place with 13 total points. The University of San Diego Toreros finished in sixth place with 11 points.
