ATLANTA- South Carolina and Tennessee both entered their Sunday showdown undefeated. The Gamecocks left that way as well thanks in large part to the performance of Nathan Wolfe. Wolfe finished with two goals and four assists to lead the Gamecocks to the win. The sophomore was involved in six of the Gamecocks’ nine goals. For his efforts, Wolfe has been named MCLA Division I Warrior Player of the Week.
South Carolina head coach Peter Candela said, “Nathan continues to prove he is the engine of our offense. As a sophomore, he plays with the poise and vision of a seasoned veteran. He truly is the eyes of our attack his elite passing ability elevates the level of play for everyone around him. There are moments even I’m caught off guard by how he finds passing lanes and delivers perfect feeds in tight windows.”
Candela also praised the sophomore’s leadership and mental approach, ‘Beyond the stat sheet, Nathan’s leadership stands out. Even as a sophomore, he is a clear leader on this team who genuinely loves the sport and his teammates. He prepares the right way, competes the right way, and makes everyone around him better.”
In recognition of his efforts, Wolfe will receive a Warrior Burn XP2-O head – a $120 value. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
