ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - A year after they both qualified for the MCLA national tournament, Cal Poly and Stanford have been slotted in the top spots of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League's preseason coaches poll. Both the Mustangs and the Cardinal garnered four first place votes.
Cal Poly and Stanford both advanced to the quarterfinals of the MCLA tournament last spring.
Sonoma State and California fill out the top four of the eight-team league.
