BURNABY, B.C. - By the narrowest of margins, Simon Fraser has been tabbed the favorite in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League after the release of the coaches preseason poll. The Clansmen finished with 59 points and four first-place nods while Oregon State -- the conference's representative to the MCLA tournament in '15 -- was a point behind with the same amount of first place ballots.
The Beavers beat Fraser in the PNCLL championship game, 14-8.
The race for third place was just as close. Boise State took the third spot by a lone point, edging out Oregon, which finished in the fourth spot. The Broncos beat the Ducks in their regular season meeting, but the two teams did not meet in the playoffs.
