This fall, Mike Harris felt like a fish out of water.
It's not terribly surprising, considering Harris was standing on the Sonoma State lacrosse field with a six-foot pole in his hand for the first time in his life, surrounded by players who grew up playing the sport. Harris wanted to play a sport in his final year on the wine country campus, but he had already burned up all his eligibility with the men's basketball team, where he was a starting forward and third-leading scorer.
