UGA Joins Lace Up with Lax
ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia men’s lacrosse team is hosting Louisiana State University on Friday, March 18, and the contest has been designated a “Lace Up with Lax” donation game.
Those attending the game are asked to bring a new pair of children’s shoes to be donated to the local homeless community.
The Lace Up with Lax program is dedicated to defining the legacy of lacrosse players off the field by working to provide children who are homeless a new pair of shoes and in turn, a step to a brighter future.
"We always try and get our players to give back to the sport and the community," said Georgia coach Billy O'Haire. "This is a great way to support both."
Friday night’s tilt between Georgia and LSU is one of 11 donation games in the Atlanta area this year, which included the Jacksonville-Duke NCAA Division contest on Feb. 27.
The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Georgia Intramural Fields.
