D-I Poll: Defending Champs Lurking
ATLANTA – They started the season with a whimper, losing to unranked Utah Valley, but defending champion Grand Canyon has slowly built up its momentum and sits once again in the No. 4 spot in the Under Armour MCLA Division I Coaches Poll, which was released on Wednesday.
Since starting the season with a 2-3 mark, the Lopes have rattled off seven consecutive win, and are now less than 30 points out of third and 76 off the top spot held by Chapman. Georgia Tech remains behind the No. 1 Panthers followed by Cal Poly.
The Top 5 in the poll are unchanged from last week.
Cal-Berkeley is the only new entrant into the poll this week, supplanting Minnesota.
