ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- No. 11 Stanford outscored No. 23 Sonoma State, 9-0, in the second and third quarters to turn a 3-2 first quarter lead into a 12-2 bulge and an eventual 14-7 victory last weekend.
Peter Doyle (3g, 2a) led the way for the Cardinal. The Stanford cause was also aided by 13 saves from goalie Alex Haigh.
