PCLL D-II Announces Accolades
BOSTON – Eight different programs were represented on the Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League (PCLL) Division II first team all-conference squad, which the league released recently.
Bridgewater State, who be representing the conference at the 2016 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, posted a league-high four players on the first team, including sophomore goalie Joe Marmion, who was named the Defensive Player of the Year.
New Haven had a pair of players on the All-PCLL first team, led by junior attackman Ryan Brouwer, who also earned Offensive Player of the Year. Chargers freshman midfielder Ryan Shalagan was tabbed the Rookie of the Year.
Southern Conn. State had a pair of first teamers, while Anthony LoRicco was named the Coach of the Year. Central Conn. State, Bridgeport, WPI, Stonehill and Westfield State also had first team representation.
