So. Oregon Top Pick in PNCLL-II
SEATTLE – Southern Oregon rolled to its first bid to the MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour by winning the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) automatic bid, and now the league’s coaches have tabbed the Raiders as the favorites for ’17.
Southern Oregon (13-3) was well clear of both College of Idaho and Montana, which tied for second in the preseason poll. College of Idaho (6-4) lost in the PNCLL semifinals last spring while Montana is moving back to Division II after an eight-year stint in Division I.
Gonzaga (6-6) rounds out the top four while PNCLL stalwarts Western Oregon (6-7) and Western Washington fill (8-6) out the five and six spots, respectively, in the 12-team league.
