D-I Poll: Cal Movin' On Up
ATLANTA – Cal-Berkeley is 8-0 and only one team has stayed within eight goals – defending national champion Chapman lost by seven – helping the Golden Bears move to No. 2 in this week’s Under Armour MCLA Division I Coaches Poll.
Cal, which grabbed three first place votes, still trails top-ranked Georgia Tech, which expanded its lead by two points from last week, snagging 20 first place votes.
Grand Canyon stayed in place at No. 3 while both Brigham Young and Cal Poly fell to the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Minnesota exited this week’s poll to make way for Boise State, which debuted at No. 22.
