ATLANTA – Ten MCLA Division I teams from four different conferences will descend on Owings Mills, Md., on the weekend of April 1 to participate in the second annual Battle for Baltimore.
The event, which will be held on two fields at Northwest Regional Park, will begin on Friday, March 31, with a four-game set, followed on Saturday, April 1, with five games and concluding on Sunday, April 2, with another four contests (schedule below).
The makeup of the field consists of four SELC teams (Elon, North Carolina State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech), two from the PCLL (Boston College and Northeastern), two from the CCLA (Michigan State and Pittsburgh) and a pair from the GRLC (Indiana and Purdue).
Four teams are currently ranked in the Under Armour MCLA weekly poll while three – Boston College, Michigan State and Purdue – qualified for the 2016 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
The games are free of charge to the public.
