ORANGE, Calif. -- The Chapman men's lacrosse team, which has appeared in the last two MCLA Division I championship games and won it all in 2016, has released its schedule for the 2018 campaign.

The Panthers will play a 12-game slate this spring, which includes a scrimmage against Whittier, a member of NCAA Division III.

"We are really excited about our schedule," said Chapman coach Dallas Hartley. "That being said, we only have 12 regular season games, which is pretty low for us. We prefer to play more games, but there just aren't that many teams traveling to southern California this year that we could get a game with."

Outside of the five contests against Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) North division rivals, Chapman will play five true non-conference games (the Panthers also face SLC South foe San Diego State).

"The trip to Atlanta in late February to play Georgia Tech and Boston College followed by our three-game home stand against Colorado, Cal Poly and Virginia Tech in early March will give us some great early season competition and a chance to see how we stack up with many of the MCLA's best teams," Hartley said.
