ATLANTA – The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association, the preeminent non-varsity collegiate league in the country, is proud to announce the Scholar Athlete award winners for the 2017 campaign.

There were 165 MCLA student-athletes who qualified for the honor this year in both divisions, which combines both on- and off-field success.

“Our players make us proud on the field, but they also provide a huge measure of pride in how well they do in the classroom,” said MCLA president Ken Lovic. “Our academic standards are as high or higher as any other collegiate athletic organization in the country, and these players represent the best of the best.”

To earn Scholar Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must be named to an all-conference postseason team as well as maintain a cumulative 3.20 grade point average or higher.
