BERKELEY, Calif. -- The California men's lacrosse team, coming off a visit to the semifinals of the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, has announced its captains and schedule for the upcoming campaign.

Senior midfielder J.P. Losi, senior midfielder Cameron Toy, junior midfielder Dylan Lee and sophomore goalie Nick Beattie have been chosen captains in 2018.

“Each captain brings something different to the huddle," said Cal coach Ned Webster. "J.P. Josi is extremely vocal and rallying, Dylan Lee battles in practice like every rep is in an overtime game, Cam Toy brings an extra dose of maturity, selflessness and sportsmanship and Nick Beattie’s work ethic outside of practice is inspiring. This team has extraordinary leadership.”

The Golden Bears play a loaded 14-game regular season featuring five teams that played at nationals and eight that were ranked in the final Top 25 poll.

“Young men want to attend Berkeley to receive an elite education, enjoy an exciting college experience and play high level lacrosse, and I think the latter is proven by the strength of our schedule," said Webster. "We’re excited to elevate our play in January and be ready to compete in February.”
