SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – For the first time in nearly a decade, the Cal Poly men’s lacrosse team will be playing in Spanos Stadium – the home of the Mustangs football team – on Friday night.
Cal Poly, ranked No. 11 in the latest Under Armour MCLA Division I Coaches Poll, will be hosting top-ranked and defending national champion Grand Canyon at 7 p.m.
“It’s always exciting testing yourself against the defending national champions,” said Cal Poly coach Bobby Dabrieo. “Playing the game in Spanos Stadium will add another dimension to the atmosphere as we expect a great crowd.”
The game is scheduled to be livestreamed on the Cal Poly lacrosse YouTube channel.
The Mustangs host No. 5 Arizona State on Sunday at noon in a game that will take place on the turf field located on Sports Complex Road.
Students will be admitted free to Friday’s game against Grand Canyon. Adults will be $10.
