D-II Poll: NDSU Grabs Top Spot

ATLANTA – With former top-ranked St. Thomas taking a loss last week, undefeated North Dakota has jumped up and taken the No. 1 position in Week 2 of the Under Armour MCLA Division II Coaches Poll.

The Bison (4-0), which were third last week, snagged 18 of the 21 first place votes this week to leapfrog No. 2 Grand Valley State (0-0) and settle in the first chair.

St. Thomas (1-1) maintained a pair of first place votes to finish at No. 3 – a spot ahead of Minn.-Duluth, which handed the Tommies its setback on Saturday. The Bulldogs had one first place vote.

Dayton (1-0) rounds out the Top 5.

UT-Dallas and UC Santa Cruz dropped out of the poll, making way for UC Davis at No. 23 and Baylor at No. 25.
