SAN DIEGO – UC San Diego and Northern Arizona earned the top seeds in the six-team Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) Division II Tournament that will begin this weekend with first round games.
UC San Diego (9-1, 3-1) emerged from the SLC South while Northern Arizona (10-1, 5-0) cruised in the North. Each receives a bye into the semifinals, which will be held at La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad, Calif., on April 29.
2018 SLC DIVISION II TOURNAMENT BRACKET
In the first round games held at home sites, No. 3N Loyola Marymount (5-6, 3-2) will visit No. 2S Cal State San Marcos (11-1, 3-1).
The other side of the bracket features No. 3S San Diego (7-6, 2-2) visiting No. 2N Cal State Fullerton (7-4, 4-1).
“The 10th anniversary season of the SLC has been an exciting one in Division II,” said SLC director Matt Holman. “We have some new faces and some old ones fighting it out in this year’s tournament.”
Both semifinals and the championship game of the SLC Division I Tournament will be streamed live on the SLC YouTube channel with the assistance of TVX Video.
Admission to the first-round games are at the discretion of the hosting institution. General admission tickets (age 8 and up) are $5 daily to the semifinals and finals. Get your tickets before April 22 and Save 20 percent.
The winner of the SLC Division I Tournament will receive an automatic qualifying berth to the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will be held in Salt Lake City from May 7-12.

First Round – April 21
Game 1: No. 3N Loyola Marymount at No. 2S Cal State San Marcos, 2 p.m.
Game 2: No. 3S San Diego at No. 2N Cal State Fullerton, 4 p.m.
Semifinals – Carlsbad, Calif. – April 28
Game 1 winner vs. No. 1N Northern Arizona, 12 p.m.
Game 2 winner vs. No. 1S UC San Diego, 2:30 p.m.
Finals – Carlsbad, Calif. – April 29
Semifinal winners, 11 a.m.
