Prodigy Bringing in Premium Talent
SALT LAKE CITY – Prodigy Media, the producer of this year’s live streams for the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, is excited about the talent calling this year’s contests.
Calling this year’s semifinals and finals in both divisions will be veteran MCLA play-by-play man host Chris Marshall along with analyst and lacrosse legend Ryan Powell.
Powell will also bring his color commentary to the first round and quarterfinals of the tournament working side-by-side with play-by-play man Booker Corrigan, who does the MIAA Game of the Week on Lacrosse All-Stars.
The three other teams working the first two rounds boast vast broadcasting and lacrosse experience.
Travis Eldridge will be calling the play-by-play along with the Big Ten Network’s Greg Bice and Josh Hawkins of the Denver Outlaws. Bice and Hawkins will switch off sideline and color duties during their six games on Monday and Tuesday.
Veteran MCLA play-by-play man Vladan Chase joins long-time Brigham Young assistant coach Jordan Harris to form a third team. Former Oregon head coach Joe Kerwin will be working the sidelines in this trio.
Former Texas State coach Michael Brand and current Cleveland State (NCAA Division I) head man Dylan Sheridan combo up to form another duo for the first two rounds of the tournament.
“It was really important to have credible, passionate voices on the broadcasts that would add excitement and vast lacrosse knowledge to the on-field product and we couldn’t be more excited about the crew coming to Salt Lake City,” said Rick Kladis, Regional Manager for Prodigy Media. “Big thanks to the guys at Lax All-Stars for helping fill out this lineup and give MCLA fans who can’t make it to the tournament a first-rate viewing experience.”
The 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour will take place from May 7-12 at the Salt Lake City Regional Athletic Complex. All 30 games will be streamed live by Prodigy Media and will be available on MCLA.us.
