A&M Leads LSA-I Preseason Poll
DALLAS – After capturing the Lone Star Alliance title and advancing to the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, Texas A&M is expected to repeat its performance this spring according to the LSA preseason coaches poll.
The Aggies (11-4) swept nine of the 11 first place votes and finished 14 points clear of second place Oklahoma (13-4). The Sooners, who grabbed one first place vote, were a single vote ahead of Texas (7-6), which also had one top vote.
Southern Methodist (8-7) rounded out the top four teams.
“The LSA had an incredibly exciting regular season and playoffs last year and I expect to see that again in 2019,” said LSA conference director Jason Zantjer. “Texas A&M is the logical pick to be the favorite, but there are several teams eager to give the Aggies a run.”
