Duluth’s Huttunen Has Top Performance
ATLANTA – Minn.-Duluth junior midfielder Josh Huttunen helped the Bulldogs upset top-ranked North Dakota State, earning him Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending Feb. 17.
The Ham Lake, Minn., product struck for four goals in the game, leading the Duluth offense that confused the rugged Bison defense, 13-11. No team scored more than 12 goals on NDSU last year on its way to a title.
“All of his goals came at important points of the game, which shifted momentum in our favor,” said Duluth co-coach Alex McNamara. “Besides his goals, Josh's presence was recognized anytime he was on the field. He was a clear matchup mismatch dodging from the midfield. His ability to draw slides and capitalize on offensive opportunities was a major factor in the win.”
For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Huttunen will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
