BOULDER, Colo. – Top-seeded Colorado raced to an early lead and cruised home to an 11-8 victory over third-seeded Utah Valley, earning the Buffaloes the 2019 Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC) Division I championship.

The RMLC-I does not have an automatic qualifier this spring, so Colorado (12-2) will wait until Sunday evening to find out their postseason fate. Utah Valley (11-4) is in the same bucket.

The Buffs took little time taking over the game as they raced out to a 4-1 lead after the first frame. The lead ballooned to 8-2 later in the first half before the Wolverines narrowed the gap to 8-4 at the break.

The lead narrowed to one goal, 8-7, in the third, but Colorado reestablished control and pulled away for the victory.

The Division I bracket will be released on Sunday evening and will be available on MCLA.us. For ticket information, please visit HERE.
