DENVER – With an unblemished mark in conference action, Colorado has earned the No. 1 seed in the 2019 Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC) tournament, which begins this Friday in Boulder, Colo.

Both the semifinals and finals will be played on Kittredge Field on the Colorado campus with the winner being in contention for an at-large selection to the 2019 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will take place in Salt Lake City from May 6-11.

Top-seeded Colorado (10-2, 3-0 RMLC) will draw fourth-seeded Colorado State (3-9, 0-3) in the second semifinal at 7 p.m. on Friday. The archrivals squared off this past Saturday with the Buffaloes capturing the Rocky Mountain Showdown, 18-12.

In the 4 p.m. semifinal, No. 2 seed Brigham Young (8-6, 2-1) will face third-seeded Utah Valley (10-3, 1-2). The two played a barn-burner on Saturday with the Cougars pulling out a 15-14 overtime thriller.

“These four teams know each other very well, so there will be no surprises,” said RMLC director John Robinette. “This will come down to who executes the best. I encourage anyone in the area to come check it out.”

Admission to all of the RMLC tournament games is free.
