ATLANTA – They have been the top-ranked team in the Under Armour MCLA Division II Weekly Coaches Poll for the past eight weeks and now Minn.-Duluth waits.
The Bulldogs (9-1) have wrapped up their regular season – their only loss coming to Division I Davenport – and clinched the top seed out of the UMLC West. Now the are just waiting for the UMLC field to be set.
The game that will determine the final UMLC pairings takes place on Friday afternoon in Novi, Mich., where No. 2 Dayton (8-1) tangles with No. 4 Grand Valley State (6-1) to determine the top seed in the UMLC East.
Kennesaw State (9-1) sticks at No. 3 with the top seed in the SELC North all but assured. St. Thomas (4-3), which will also be in on the UMLC title hunt, is at No. 5.
Cal State San Marcos (3-8) departed the poll this week to make way for No. 24 Western Oregon (7-3).
