BERKELEY, Calif. -- Sparked by a 9-0 second half, No. 2 California pulled away from No. 17 Santa Clara last Friday night to post a big ranked win.

Michael Bellas, Jake Lombardo and Jake Pistotnik all recorded hat tricks for the Bears while Nick Beattie turned away 13 of the 17 shots that came his way.

Thomas Bingham had half of the Broncos scoring output while goalie Matt Lencioni did his best, saving 19 shots on the evening in the loss.
