CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Who didn’t see this matchup coming?

Well, me for one.

The LSA-CLC connection is a tentative one, to say the least. But now we get to roll the dice and see what happens.

No. 27 Southern Methodist went to Orange, Calif., and took down No. 6 Chapman in a thriller.

The Mustangs grabbed 494 of the 978 votes cast for just a one percentage point victory, 50.5 against 49.5

No. 11 Boston College had a more comfortable victory over No. 22 Dominican, grabbing 623 of 1,160 inputs.

That was good for a 7.2 percentage point triumph.

Alumni networks could be the difference in this one as the school sizes are in the same neighborhood.
