BC, FAU Capture Virtual Championships
ATLANTA – In two exciting competitions that were worthy of championship-caliber action, No. 11 Boston College and No. 19 Florida Atlantic won their respective title games of the 2020 MCLA Virtual Tournament presented by New Balance.
In a contest that featured a staggering 21,074 votes – far and away the highest count in the history of the first and (hopefully) last simulated tourney – Boston College had a powerful finishing kick for the win.

The Eagles finished with 11,633 votes, giving them a 2,192 vote victory when the final whistle blew on Saturday afternoon.
No. 32 Tennessee raced out to a huge early lead in the opening days of the competition, but could not keep up with the explosive late surge of Boston College.
The Division II final included plenty of back-and-forth action, but Florida Atlantic clobbered No. St. John’s in the last half of the bout. The Owls ended up routing the Johnnies by 1,838 votes.
