Senior Thank You: Texas State
SAN MARCOS, Texas — The senior class of 2020 had their season stolen from them.
For reasons outside of their control, they will never be able to pursue goals for which they worked so hard.
As part of a recurring segment for the remainder of this spring, coaches have the opportunity to thank their seniors one last time.
Continuing the series is Texas State coach Erik Liberatore honoring his six seniors.
#21 Travis Williamson, Defensive Midfield
Travis got into this game late in his college career, but his impact was immediate and infectious.
Travis is a natural born leader who we think anyone on this team would follow into battle. We wish him the best in the launch of his career and know he will approach that career with the same positive 'never give up' attitude he had on the field.
#7 Charlie Friend, Long-stick Midfield
Charlie is the type of player who is constantly hustling. His enthusiasm to play the game could be seen every time he got on the field. He is the first guy to fire up the sideline when a teammate makes a play.
We wish Charlie much success in the future, and hope he gets on a sideline to grow the game.
#4 Noah Policke, Midfield
Noah has been a member of the program for three seasons. He is the kind of guy who will jump up and take any role that may need to be filled.
He is also one of the funniest guys on the team. One of the most loyal teammates that any coach can ask for, whether it be a joke or a goal, Noah’s got it.
Noah will make waves in the future of the business world for sure.
#19 Trevor Hensley, Attack
Trevor decided to take on the second most stressful role in the program as the treasurer. He also served as the hype man for the team.
As a four-year player, Trevor is the first guy to lead a huddle and direct the team in what was needed in the next play.
He also did an amazing job keeping the club in a positive space financially. Trevor’s future in finance looks bright from where he has left this program.
#23 Will Rossy, Faceoff
Will is a warrior. Will embodies the 'Leave the field on your shield' mantra.
Will’s impact on this program will last for years. His heart and love for Texas State lacrosse are the same size: HUGE.
We wish Will the best in future and like Charlie, we sincerely hope he helps to grow the game.
#31 Douglas Brittian, Long-stick Midfield
Dougie is the gasoline that has made this engine run. His ability to pick up GBs and make the right decision with the ball has made him one of the most dangerous LSMs to wear maroon and gold.
His fire and dedication to the team and craft will be missed and never replaced. Dougie's future is bright in whatever he wants to do with the passion he has.
