CLC Division II Goes Through Rhodey
BOSTON – The Division II segment of the Continental Lacrosse Conference (CLC) has tabbed Rhode Island as the team to beat in the preseason coaches poll.
The Rams took three of the five first-place votes to comfortably sit in the top spot.
Rhode Island was followed by Bridgewater State, which grabbed one first-place vote.
Central Connecticut State also snagged a top vote, putting them in a tie for third with Stonehill.
MCLA newcomer UMass-Dartmouth rounds out the poll.
New Haven is a CLC Division II member, but was left out of the poll as the school’s administration has not cleared its club sports program from competing this spring.
The CLC will have an automatic qualifying berth to the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance. The event will be held at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex from May 9-14.
